Caffé Lena History Project Gets New Trailer
Caffé Lena, a legendary coffee house and folk venue in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., will be featured as part of an upcoming restoration project titled The Caffé Lena History Project.
Founded in 1960 by Lena Spencer, Caffé Lena is the oldest running coffee house in America and has featured some of the biggest folk names in the business including: Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan and Rufus Wainwright.
The Caffè Lena History Project, is “dedicated to documenting the history and impact of Caffè Lena and commemorating the life and legacy of Lena Spencer.” The project will look to provide sources of documentation of the café for future generations including a book, CD box set, a traveling exhibition and a searchable database at the Library of Congress.
