Kanye West, Jimmy Kimmel to Set Aside Differences Tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live

It was only a couple short weeks ago that Kanye West launched a Twitter tirade against Jimmy Kimmel, in the process spawning the brilliant hashtag #ALLDISRESPECTTOJIMMYKIMMEL!!!! in response to a segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live that the rapper found unsavory. Two weeks later, the two will be sitting down on Kimmel’s talk show tonight to hopefully bury the hatchet once and for all, says Variety.

The Kimmel bit that got West so riled up in the first place was a spoof of a recent interview West had done with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, in which the rapper animatedly lashed out at the racism and hypocrisy that persists in Hollywood today. Kimmel’s bit basically just repeated some of the more quotable lines from West’s interview with the help of child actors. West promptly struck back with a Twitter tirade, all traces of which have since been deleted from his Twitter timeline. But even with the tweets erased, the millions of Twitter users who saw the attack go down live are going to have a tough time forgetting the incredulity of lines like “SHOULD I DO A SPOOF ABOUT YOUR FACE OR YOU FUCKING BEN AFFLECK” and “JIMMY KIMMEL PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES … OH NO THAT MEANS YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN TO MUCH GOOD PUSSY IN YOUR LIFE…” Not to mention he even threw in a couple Jimmy Kimmel memes as well.

There’s really no telling just how genuine this feud is. West has a tour with Kendrick Lamar around the corner, and Kimmel has already concocted a viral video prank last month that he ultimately admitted to. Regardless, there’s a good chance that tonight’s Jimmy Kimmel Live will be nothing less than cordial, and Kimmel will have no choice but to address his face, which West has made plenty clear he doesn’t care for.
