NBC Announces Premiere Date For Community

NBC comedy Community and police drama Chicago P.D. have both received official premiere dates for the 2014 season.

The next semester at Greendale Community College will commence on Thursday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. for a one-hour season premiere. After suffering from poor ratings during season four, the network opted to bring back Community for a fifth season after a ratings bump during the season finale. Community will continue to hold the 8 p.m. Thursday night slot throughout the season, with Parks and Rec moving to 8:30 p.m.

Chicago P.D., the new crime drama from Dick Wolf (Law & Order), is set to make its premiere on Jan. 8 at 10 p.m. The show is a spin-off of Wolf’s Chicago Fire series and features some of the same characters from the original story.
