Barely a year after the release of the Grammy-nominated The Carpenter, The Avett Brothers have readied their eighth full-length album, Magpie and the Dandelion. Though it’s not officially due out until Oct. 15, the band recently made the new LP available to stream in its entirety via NPR Music.

As they did with The Carpenter, The Avett Bros. teamed up with super producer Rick Rubin for Magpie and the Dandelion. Though its title might bring to mind something out of a Wes Anderson film, the band chose the imagery of a magpie, a crow-like bird, and a dandelion to symbolize the themes of “youthful wonder” that pervade the album. “Those kinds of feelings live and breathe inside this album,” the band said in a press release.

In August, NPR premiered “Another is Waiting,” the lead single from Magpie and the Dandelion. Check out its video below, as well as the album’s full tracklisting. Click here to stream the full album.
