Arctic Monkeys Cancel Show Following Alex Turner's Laryngitis

The Arctic Monkeys celebratory tour for their latest album AM will have to put on the once brakes again due to frontman Alex Turner’s laryngitis. NME reports that Turner’s illness, which had initially caused dates in Glasgow, Birmingham and Sheffield to be rescheduled, has left the singer unable to perform at all, and fans have been entitled to a full refund of their tickets.

“We regret to advise that Arctic Monkeys must cancel their show at the Stadthalle Offenbach, Germany on Monday 4th November 2013,” read an official statement on the band’s website. There hasn’t been a makeup date announced for the canceled Germany gig, though the initial three cancelations are expected to be performed in the next few weeks. Their Sheffield show has been rescheduled for Nov. 18, their Birmingham show for Nov. 20 and their Glasgow show for Nov. 21. Assuming Turner makes a speedy recovery, that could put the Offenbach makeup somewhere in early December.
