After cameos from creators Dan Harmon and Mitch Hurwitz, another member of the Arrested Development crew will be featured in an upcoming episode of NBC’s Community. According to Vulture, David Cross is set to make a special guest appearance on the show.
The actor, most famous for his role as Dr. Tobias Fünke on Arrested Development, will make an appearance as Hank Hickey, the estranged son of Professor Hickey (Jonathan Banks of Breaking Bad). A longtime fan of the show, Cross told A.V. Club last year that Community is one of the few shows that he keeps up with. “I’m one of those ‘I don’t watch TV’ assholes you read about every now and then. I don’t have a TV at my house upstate, where I spend most of my time these days. I downloaded every Community and gorged myself on them, even going back for seconds and sometimes thirds. Best comedy on TV, hands down.”
Cross will reportedly be on the show’s set this week to film the episode, set to air in the upcoming fifth season. The episode is a follow-up to the 2011 fan favorite “Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.”
