Jean Paul Gaultier Designs Opulent Children’s Line

Why save up for a couple years’ college tuition when you can go ahead and buy your princess a dress designed by the same man who made Madonna’s boobs pointy in 1990?

This holiday season, Jean Paul Gaultier is releasing a limited run of silk bodice gowns with tiered tulle skirts and matching boleros with Swarovski crystal detail for a measly $1,200 a pop. The dresses come in both white and hot pink, and were inspired by the colorful array of children’s gowns that ended his Spring 2013 show.

Tulle overload aside, the French designer shows how to add a butch twist to the look in his campaign shot, in which he pairs the frilly frocks with shiny Doc Marten boots. We didn’t even know they made punk shoes for children.
