Morrissey to Release Cover of Lou Reed's “Satellite of Love”

As U.S. fans anxiously await the release of his autobiography, Morrissey has announced that he will pay tribute to the late Lou Reed by releasing a cover of one of Reed’s most well-known tracks “Satellite of Love,” Rolling Stone reports.

Coinciding with the release of the upcoming audio version of his autobiography Morrissey, the singer will release a cover of Lou Reed’s “Satellite of Love” that same day. The track was recorded at Moz’s 2011 show at the Chelsea Ballroom in Las Vegas. Morrissey will release the cover on a special seven-inch and as a digital download. A mini-set of tracks are also set to be released by the singer, but the names of the songs have yet to be revealed.

The digital release is set for Nov. 29, with the 12-inch version of the material out Dec. 2. Watch Morrissey’s performance of “Satellite of Love” from his 2011 Glastonbury set.
