Members of Wilco, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!, More to Recreate "The Last Waltz"

The Band—the legendary roots rock group who served as Bob Dylan’s touring band for several years—held their farewell concert on Thanksgiving Day in 1976. Now, 37 years on, members of groups like Wilco, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!, Blitzen Trapper and others will come together to perform the full 41-song set from that show at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York on Nov. 27.

The original performance, called “The Last Waltz” and held at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom, was immortalized in film by Martin Scorsese, and included guests like Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Neil Diamond, Muddy Waters and Eric Clapton. Several songs were cut from the final film version, but next week’s event—billed as “The Complete Last Waltz”—will be faithful to the original, and include a reading from Canterbury Tales and a recital of Lawrence Ferlinghetti’s poem “Loud Prayer.”

The show will be presented by Golden Gate Events, and tickets are on sale now. Check out the full lineup of confirmed performers below:
