Distillery Introduces Sriracha Vodka, Because Sriracha On Your Egg Rolls Isn't Enough

This fall, millions of Americans gasped when news spread that the Sriracha factory might be forced to shut down after complaints from local citizens about the smell emanating from the factory. Have no fear, Sriracha fans: Philadelphia Distilling has introduced a vodka infused with chilies, spices, and garlic that mimics the flavor of Sriracha, one of the country’s most beloved hot sauces.

The chili-flavored vodka is obviously meant to be mixed into a Bloody Mary, but I’m more intrigued by the recipe for a Sriracha Vodka Margarita I found on UV Vodka’s website. Someone please try this recipe and tell us what you think.

Philadelphia Distilling Company is no stranger to odd flavor infusions. Its label, UV Vodka, is famous for its “off the wall” flavors (Cake, Salty Watermelon…), so Sriracha fits right in.

As for the Sriracha Chili Sauce factory saga—right now, the courts have ordered a partial shut down based on the smell complaints from citizens of the city of Irwindale. A Sriracha spokesperson claimed the partial shutdown could raise the price of America’s favorite chili sauce next year. Luckily, the alcoholic version made by UV Vodka has a budget-friendly price of $12.
