According to Keanu Reeves, the third installment of his most excellent Bill & Ted series is still happening, but it might be a while.
The actor told Access Hollywood’s Tim Vincent that the movie is still a go, but has a few kinks that need to be worked out. “It needs to be adapted because right now, it would cost $400 million to make,” Reeves said while promoting his new film 47 Ronin, in Japan last week. ”[CGI] ain’t cheap,” he added.
When asked about the script, Reeves said that it currently involves a cosmic adventure with a variety of “creatures.” “There’s a rift in the universe and there’s all sorts of creatures…The script is funny and there’s a story to tell there, so there are efforts being made to try and continue that journey.”
No word from Reeves on when he expects the movie to begin production. In the meantime, be excellent to each other.
