Mother-daughter duo Jessica (Baccarin) and Dana Brody (Saylor) will no longer be series regulars on Showtime’s Homeland, according to Variety.
Baccarin and Saylor’s characters were featured less in season three than any of the previous seasons. Storyline shifts and Baccarin’s real-life pregnancy were most likely behind the actress’ dwindling screen time. Saylor, who became a character that fans loved to hate, saw her largest role in the series during season three and earned her status as one of the most polarizing and controversial characters on the show.
Baccarin and Saylor won’t be gone from the show forever, according to Homeland show runners. Both actresses have options in their contracts to make returns for guest appearances in future episodes.
