Stephen King Joins Twitter, Immediately Gives Parental Guidance

Stephen King joined the Twitterverse on Friday, garnering a whopping 189,000+ followers in less than four days. Despite verbalizing his stage fright (he tweeted the following to Margaret Atwood: “I have no idea what I’m doing here. The thought of all those eyeballs has stricken me dumb”), King continues to tweet several times a day.

King only followed 16 Twitter accounts as of Monday evening, including the accounts of Sons of Anarchy cast and crew members and his three children. Joe Hill, King’s eldest son and a famous author in his own right, joked about needing to censor his tweets now that both of his parents have joined Twitter. King tweeted a snarky reply, Hill sent an even snarkier tweet, and the world caught a glimpse of their father-son relationship. Their tweets are embedded below:
