Funny or Die’s Billy on the Street is a show where comedian Billy Eichner runs up to people on the street in a panic and asks them simple, usually ridiculous questions about pop culture in a variety of formats. Sometimes small cash prizes are involved. Sometimes other weird stuff is involved. The only constant is that it’s all on the street and off the cuff. Two seasons have already aired on Fuse, and it was recently announced that a third will premiere in March of 2014. Linday Lohan and Lena Dunham will be among the celebrity guests.
Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Amy Poehler joined Eichner to dress as Dickens characters and sprint around the streets of New York, trying to get people to carol with them. Sing along and know the lyrics and you win a whole dollar. The only problem is that Eichner’s pretty picky with the people he chooses to spend his time with. If you aren’t putting out the holiday vibe (or if you’re kid has a weird name), it’s onto the next unsuspecting contestant. I think he might have more luck in suburbia.
