3-D Origami Dresses for Berksha

January 22, 2014  |  2:00pm

When you think origami, clothing may not be the first thing that comes to mind. In the case of German designer Jule Waibel, she made this art form come to life. Collaborating with clothing company Berksha, Jule Waibel has created 25 dresses for 25 cities titled “entfaltung.” The word translates to ‘unfold, expand, develop’ and that is exactly what this collection does.
Made out of paper and using an extensive folding technique, these origami dresses are 3D and move gracefully with the body. The unique pieces are displayed all over the world in 25 different Berksha stores and are completely wearable. On display until Jan. 31, catch them before its too late, and check out the folding process above.
