<em>American Hustle</em>, <em>Her</em> Among Nominees for 2014 Writers Guild Award

The Writers Guild of America has announced the nominees for the Writers Guild Awards, which honor winners in three categories: Original screenplay, adapted screenplay, and documentary screenplay. American Hustle and Her are among the original screenplay nominees, while Wolf of Wall Street and Captain Phillips highlight the adapted screenplays. In the documentary category, Canadian actor/director Sarah Polley was nominated for Stories We Tell.

The full list of nominees is below, and note that several films (notably 12 Years a Slave, Philomena and Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) aren’t eligible due to strict qualifying rules based on affiliation with the WGA.
