A German farmer’s bull had been on the lamb for six months, avoiding capture by hiding in the Bavarian woods and causing local authorities to be concerned about public safety. According to an article in the UK’s Daily Mail, any attempts to tranquilize the bull had failed. Instead of shooting and killing the bull, the farmer decided to spike some feed grain with vodka. It took two bottles to impair the beast, who quickly became intoxicated after eating the grain. The farmer was then able to lead the bull into a secure barn.
No report as to what brand of vodka the bull prefers. Sadly, the bull was brown, not red, so I’m unable to write a “Red Bull and Vodka” joke.
File this report in the “only in Germany” category.
