Left Hand Brewing Sends Manning Free Beer

After winning an early playoff game, Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning told reporters he was looking forward to drinking a Bud Light. Craft beer lovers across the country cringed. One brewery decided to take it upon themselves to convert America’s favorite quarterback into a craft beer lover, according to the Denver Post.

After hearing about Manning’s preference for Big Beer, Colorado’s Left Hand Brewing sent three cases of its Polestar Pilsner, Sawtooth Ale, and Milk Stout Nitro to the Denver Broncos’ stadium for Manning to sample.

Here’s what the note said: “Mr. Manning, Just like you we decided to call an audible and change the play at the line to provide you with some Colorado craft beer from Left Hand Brewing. We feel it’s a better play call.”

No word on whether Manning drank the beer, but here’s our advice: Put the Bud Light down, Mr. Manning, and pick up the Milk Stout.
