The second season of House of Cards is set up to stream starting on Feb 14, and yesterday Netflix confirmed that it will renew the political drama for a third season. Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright will appear in 13 more episodes on Netflix’s first original series. Beau Willimon’s House of Cards was originally bought by Netflix back in 2011, contracting the show for two seasons of 13 episodes each, making the third season its first renewal.
House of Cards joins other renewed Netflix original series, including Orange is the New Black and Hemlock Grove, both of which are in production for their follow-up seasons. No date has been set for the streaming of the third season of House of Cards, but Robin Wright revealed that filming will start soon.
