February 27, 2014  |  3:35pm

Since Jason Molina’s death last March, a number of tribute albums have been released in the honor of his work behind Songs: Ohia and Magnolia Electric Co. The latest commemoration, Farewell Transmission: The Music of Jason Molia, is set to release April 22 through the nonprofit label Rock the Cause. A portion of the proceeds from the album will be donated to MusiCares, an organization that provides assistance to artists like Molina, who are battling chemical dependency, depression, disability and other health issues.
