The Cure Announces New Studio Album, Plans 'Trilogy' Shows in Late 2014

The Cure has announced an album for later this year, tentatively titled 4:14 Scream, the follow-up to 2008’s 4:13 Dream. The release will also come with live Cure concert DVD’s on a date yet to be determined.

To coincide with the release, the Cure will also be heading on another ‘Trilogy’ tour where three albums from the band’s back catalog are performed in full, this time taking on The Top, The Head On The Door and Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me. The first tour in 2002, the band played the entirety of Pornography, Disintegration and Bloodfloowers, and in 2011 Three Imaginary Boys, Seventeen Seconds and Faith.

The Cure is set to play two nights at the annual Teenage Cancer Trust benefit show, this year curated by Roger Daltry at the Royal Albert Hall in London on March 28-29.
