Next Sunday marks the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ American debut on the Ed Sullivan Show, so it is safe to say that CBS is celebrating the date. David Letterman is hosting a Beatles Week from Feb. 3- 7 with a different performer taking on a Beatles classic each night.

Letterman started the week-long celebration off right with two clear Beatle-schooled songsmiths—Broken Bells’ Danger Mouse and James Mercer. The duo covered “And I Love Her,” putting a trippy twist on the tune. In addition to the track, video clips of Ringo Starr playing drums synced up with the performance.
