Yesterday Perth, Australia held its Big Day Out Festival with performances from Snoop Lion, Tame Impala, Primus and more. Event promoter AJ Maddah stated that this year would be the last BDO festival in Perth via Twitter. The announcement was due to a small turnout of about 19,000.

However small the crowd was, the attendees were rewarded. Pearl Jam and Arcade Fire were set as co-headliners and closed the show by singing Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World.” This has become a Pearl Jam live staple, but with Win Butler and Eddie Vedder swapping lines, it was a sure crowd pleaser.
