Channing Tatum and Jimmy Fallon Perform Magic Mike, as Envisioned by 8 and 6 Year Olds

Tuesday night, on a segment of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon named “Kid Theater,” Channing Tatum and Fallon performed a very PG version of Tatum’s very R-rated stripper film Magic Mike. Tatum and Fallon were given scenes written by school children, who, as Jimmy Fallon said, were given: “No direction, just the title. We asked them to write scenes based on what they think a movie called Magic Mike would be about.”

Shockingly, the kid screenwriters did not assume that Magic Mike was a film about the personal lives about male strippers. In addition to fighting off aliens and fixing bikes, Fallon and Tatum sing a beautiful rendition of “Magic Bird Come Fly with Me,” and original song composed by Sadie of Virginia.

Tatum was on Fallon last night to promote Magic Mike’s sequel Magic Mike XXL, which opens July 1.
