Louis C.K.’s TV Daughter Roasted Him For Father’s Day

Fatherhood is an integral part of Louis C.K.’s comedy, so it’s no surprise that even his onscreen offspring look up to him.

Hadley Delany, the young actress who plays C.K.’s eldest daughter Lilly on Louie, starred in a video tribute to her fictional father for Father’s Day. Delany both toasts and roasts C.K.’s character—or C.K. himself, it’s impossible to tell—in the clip, lovingly mocking his bleak worldview, his weight, his red hair and his “homeless Seinfeld” fashion sense, among other things.

But Delany does allow that C.K. is “straight-up funny,” and can’t help but compliment his “irresponsible level of cool.” Both her barbs and her admiration are underscored by all-too-appropriate clips from Louie, C.K.’s artful, Emmy-winning FX series. Fans of the show will especially appreciate the video’s brief tour of Louie history, with Lilly C.K. herself as the guide.

Watch Delany pay tribute to her beloved TV dad above.
