If the Deftones were trying to ignite a race against time, they’ve succeeded. They sent out a press release stating that they’re teasing new music on their website, but it will only be there for a few hours.
The music itself is a clip, maybe 30 seconds long, featuring some aggressive guitars and ominous-sounding ambient noise. And it’s set to a slow zoom-out on a flock of airborne flamingos that eventually reveals a single word: “GORE.” Reportedly, that’s the name of the band’s forthcoming album, set for an Apr. 8 release.
