90-Year-Old Woman Picks Road Trip over Cancer Treatment

Travel News

Last year, 90-year-old Norma found out she had uterine cancer just two days after her husband of 67 years died. Instead of chemo or radiation or a life-threatening operation, Norma gave cancer the middle finger and hopped in an RV with her family for the road trip of a lifetime.

Norma joined her son Tim, daughter-in-law Ramie and their poodle Ringo when they embarked on a road trip in August. Ever since, the gang’s been on a magical mystery tour across the United States.

Though the adventurous Miss Norma may not be the most mobile anymore, the tour’s included landmarks like Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Canyon, Walt Disney World, aliens at the surprisingly dog-friendly Roswell museum and quite possibly enough diners to make a trucker jealous. She even rode a hot air balloon. What’s a fear of heights compared to cancer? Nothing, apparently.

Those interested in following Miss Norma’s journey across America can follow it on her
Facebook page, where she posts hundreds of photos and videos of the trip.
