Fresh off announcing that septuagenarian Harrison Ford will return as Indiana Jones in 2019, Disney has revealed that the search for an actor to play the younger version of his other iconic character has narrowed to a final shortlist. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Alden Ehrenreich, Jack Reynor, and Taron Egerton are strong candidates to star as young Han Solo in the upcoming 2018 Star Wars Anthology spinoff, set to be directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

Ehrenreich most recently appeared in the Coen Brothers’ Hail, Caesar!, Reynor is best known for his work in Transformers: Age of Extinction, and Egerton starred in both Kingsmen: The Secret Service and Eddie the Eagle. All three actors were reportedly testing for the role this week in London. Others may have tested for the role as well, but Disney has kept things very hush-hush, so it’s hard to tell.

This represent the final stage in the casting process for young Han Solo, which began with more than 2,500 actors in the running before narrowing to a dozen or so by January.
