Kiefer Sutherland Will Release A Folk Album This Summer

Music News

When we think of Jack Bauer, the last thing that comes to mind is “folk singer.” Maybe post-grunge guitarist, but certainly not folk singer. So the news that Kiefer Sutherland is going to release a folk album this summer is just more proof that actors are, indeed, separate from their characters.

Sutherland’s album, titled Down in a Hole, is a collaboration with his friend Jude Cole, with whom he founded the record label Ironworks in 2009. The actor describes it as “the closest thing [he’s] ever had to a journal or diary,” per a report by The Wrap.

He’s also embarking on a tour starting next month, starting on Apr. 14 in Milwaukee and continuing through the end of May. You can prepare yourself for a little bit of this:

Sutherland’s actually got a decent gritty voice, though we’d like to see him use the guitar that’s just hanging around his neck during this performance. You can get tickets here.
