Tracy Morgan Performed For The Hospital Workers Who Saved His Life

Comedy News

Tracy Morgan’s incredible recovery from a horrific car accident that left him with severe brain damage has been one of comedy’s best feel-good stories in years. Last night, he put the cherry on top by treating the staff at New Jersey’s Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital to his show at the State Theatre, the latest stop on his “Picking Up the Pieces” tour.

“Last night was one of the most special nights of my life,” Morgan said in an interview with People. “To be standing on stage with the people that saved my life in the audience was an overwhelming experience. I will never fully be able to thank the doctors, nurses, first responders and everyone else that got me back on that stage enough.”

After the show, Morgan had all the hospital workers share in his standing ovation, then invited them backstage to hang out. As excellent as it’s been to see the comedian back at full capacity, it’s even more heartwarming to hear the extent of his gratitude.
