Lady Gaga to Release New Kevin Parker-Produced Single “Perfect Illusion” Friday

There’s more Lady Gaga coming, and now we know when. The singer announced that her new single, “Perfect Illusion,” will be released this Friday, Sept. 9. Along with the release confirmation, Gaga also released the single’s artwork via a collage on Instagram.

Although there has been no official confirmation of a music video to accompany the track, it wouldn’t exactly be an unwelcome surprise. Gaga made her name with outlandish costumes and even stranger videos, but she hasn’t released any new music since 2013’s ARTPOP.

In the time since ARTPOP, Gaga has had a fairly successful acting career, even winning a Golden Globe for her role in American Horror Story: Hotel. Her latest single was co-produced by a pair of heavy hitters in Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker and Mark Ronson, and the 48 hours we have to wait for it already feel too long.
