Horace and Pete Arrives on Hulu, Just in Time for the Holidays

TV News Horace and Pete

Louis C.K. surprised the world months ago with Horace and Pete, a show which could only be viewed by purchasing it on C.K.’s website. Now, just in time to depress you for the holidays, the show is available to stream on Hulu. The deal is a multi-year streaming video on demand agreement, per Variety, but the show will still be available for sale on C.K.’s website.

The devastating web drama stars Steve Buscemi and C.K. as the proprietors of a Brooklyn bar, and is a melancholy-filled look at middle-class life which uses Cheers and Norman Lear as referential touchstones.

The show’s powerful performances were raved about across the board, and include turns from Jessica Lange and the Emmy-nominated Laurie Metcalf. Horace and Pete was one of the best-reviewed shows of the year, and C.K. reportedly went into debt in order to create it, a situation we imagine has been assuaged by this Hulu deal. If you like good TV, you should watch it. Heavy? Yes. Worth it? Certainly.
