Live-Stream Direct Hit Live at Daytrotter!

Music News Direct Hit

Wisconsin punks Direct Hit are headed to Davenport, Iowa, the home of Daytrotter, and you’re invited to catch the show. Our friends at Daytrotter are live-streaming the performance, set for this Saturday, Dec. 3, on their Facebook page.

Founded by singer/writer/guitarist Nick Woods in Milwaukee, Direct Hit have had a fluid lineup of collaborators over the years, but settled into a rock-solid quartet in 2013 and have been going strong ever since. Woods is joined by Danny Walkowiak on drums, Devon Kay on guitar and harmonies, and Steve Maury on bass and backup vocals. The punk-rock outfit’s third album Wasted Mind came out this year on Fat Wreck Chords, and, true to its title, explores the impacts, tangible and otherwise, of mind-altering substances. Direct Hit have shared stages with the likes of Blink 182, NOFX and Rise Against, and now they’re bringing their punk bona fides to Daytrotter’s Brady Street venue.

Direct Hit’s opening acts include Peoria, Ill. pop-punk trio Terribly Happy, made up of guitarist Kyle Hamon, bassist James Wylie and drummer Logan Kiesewetter, and Quad Cities ska-punk septet Fairhaven, consisting of Landon Kuhlmann on guitar and vocals, Nathan Lane (no, not that one) on bass and vocals, Sage Weeber on drums, Nick Lawton, Caleb Koch and Van Mielenhausen on tenor, tenor and alto saxophone, respectively, and Matt Smith on trombone. Find the show’s set-by-set schedule below.

– 9 p.m. EST: Fairhaven
– 10 p.m. EST: Terribly Happy
– 11 p.m. EST: Direct Hit
