Nyko’s Wireless NES Classic Controller is Out Now

A couple weeks back, we told you about 8Bitdo’s wireless controller for the NES Classic Edition that hits Amazon on Dec. 16, but now Nyko are beating them to the punch with their own wireless controller, available now.

Nyko’s Miniboss wireless controller works the same as 8Bitdo’s, using a Bluetooth receiver that plugs into the NES Classic Edition and syncs up with the controller. The signal will reach up to 30 feet and the battery lasts up to 15 hours. The controller charges with any mini USB cable, so if you’ve got a smartphone that doesn’t begin with the letter “i,” then you’re probably set.

If you still want to use the NES Classic Edition’s standard controller but still can’t bear to sit three feet away from the console, Nyko is also selling the Extend Link, a six-foot extension cable that plugs into the NES Classic Edition’s cord to put some distance between you and your TV.

The Miniboss is going for $24.99 and the Extend Link for $9.99, both available right now at Nyko.com, Amazon and, unlike 8Bitdo’s controller, physical GameStop stores, as well as Toys “R” Us stores later this month. Nyko has also made a trailer for the controller, ripped straight out of the ‘80s. Watch that below.
