Valve CEO Confirms Linux-Based Steambox
In an interview with The Verge, Valve CEO Gabe Newell has confirmed the rumors that it is building its own “Steambox” with a Linux OS. The box will act as a local server for all of the players’ screens. Newell said the technology is designed to work across multiple platforms in the home, bringing convenience to users. With the new hardware users could have, “one PC and eight televisions and eight controllers We’re used to having one monitor, or two monitors — now we’re saying let’s expand that a little bit.” Newell said.... read more

Unmanned, Hokra Win Big at IndieCade Awards
More than 500 games from five different countries took part in the IndieCade International Festival of Independent Games earlier this month in Culver City, Calif.
