Bastion Gets Free Downloadable Content
Most recently, Google announced today that they would begin focusing on their native Chrome client by bringing an assortment of apps and games to it including Bastion. In fact, the full game is already available in the Google Chrome App Store for $14.99. But perhaps the most exciting news regarding the indie adventure game is the announcement today that Supergiant Games have plans to release downloadable content for the game called "The Stranger's Dream". read more

Valve's Steam Platform Hacked, Customer Financial Info Potentially Stolen
Valve's popular and widespread Steam content delivery service was recently hacked, leading Valve to temporarily close the community forums. Three Game of Thrones Games Announced
Because Game of Thrones is just that epic of a series, not one, but three games have been announced based around the fantasy HBO TV series. The one that shows the most promise, though, is an RPG from Cyanide Studio and Atlus that is based on an original story from the author of the original books, George R. R. Martin. The game will be available for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC and will look to correspond with the series as Season 2 premieres next year. read more

Just in time for the launch of their highly anticipated shooter, Activision posted a live-action Modern Warfare 3 trailer last night that starred two actors you may have heard of before. MechWarrior Online Officially Announced for Summer 2012
Brush up on those BattleMech piloting skills because the Piranha Games and Smith &Tinker reboot of the MechWarrior franchise just received it's official release announcement for summer of next year. The beloved mech simulation series based on the BattleTech universe has been on hiatus since 2004's MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf for the Xbox (I'd rather ignore the sub-par 2006 DS MechAssault game), and despite IP ownership controversy that shook development of the project after it's initial announcement in 2009, the game is finally making serious headway towards an actual release. read more

Minecraft for XBLA Officially Delayed
The open-world sandbox game, Minecraft, which had officially been green-lit to come to the Xbox Live Arcade in July, has now officially been delayed until Spring 2012. According to a tweet from Microsoft Games producer, Stuart Platt, “Minecraft for Xbox 360 will launch in Spring 2012. No dates yet. Don't expect to hear a date until next year". The port of the popular indie game is being developed by 4J Studios, who previously ported both Banjo-Kazooie and Perfect Dark to XBLA. read more
