Argentina singer/songwriter Juana Molina is going on a North American trek with London-based singer/songwriter Adem, beginning in October. Molina is coming off tours in Japan and South America, and is currently touring the U.K. in support of her latest album, Son. [Above: Sufjan Stevens] Talking Heads frontman David Byrne joined Sufjan Stevens on stage Thursday night at 826NYC's benefit concert to perform a duet of Lefty Frizzell's "Saginaw, Michigan." The benefit, held at The Beacon Theater in New York City, raised money for 826NYC, a nonprofit organization that aims to help kids K-12 improve their expository and creative writing skills. New Beck Album Drops Oct. 3
Beck will follow up last year's Guero success with new album The Information, out Oct. 3. Produced by Nigel Godrich (Sea Change, Mutations; Radiohead's OK Computer, Kid A), Beck has been working on the album for three years—long before Guero was released—but had to hold off on finishing it because of touring due to Guero's popularity. The Information is 15 tracks with accompanying homemade videos on DVD, which were shot in the studio during recording.
