Benefit Concert Planned For Love’s Arthur Lee
A group of musicians will perform a benefit concert for rock legend Arthur Lee at New York's Beacon Theater on June 23. The Love frontman was diagnosed last February with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML), and has no medical insurance. Lee may soon have to undergo a bone marrow transplant. The benefit, We’re Doing It For Love, will attempt to raise money to cover Lee’s $100,000 in medical expenses. Brian Eno Reunites With Roxy Music
Confirming in a recent interview with British newspaper The Guardian, producer/musician Brian Eno announced that he has indeed reunited with his former Roxy Music bandmates. Having left the art-rock group after their 1973 album For Your Pleasure, rumors of Eno’s return first began when it was discovered he'd written two songs for the band’s forthcoming album, which will be released later this year. Indigo Girls Sign with Hollywood Records
Almost 20 years since their debut, Strange Fire, Grammy-winning duo The Indigo Girls have signed with Hollywood Records. Duo members Amy Ray and Emily Saliers are currently recording in Los Angeles with producer Mitchell Froom (Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello, Sheryl Crow).
