Maia Sharp to tour with Bonnie Raitt this fall
Beginning Oct. 15, singer/songwriter Maia Sharp will open a series of Bonnie Raitt shows throughout the fall. Sharp is supporting her third album, Fine Upstanding Citizen, which was released earlier this year. Sharp also wrote and recorded three songs for Raitt's soon-to-be-released album, Soul's Alike. In the spring of 2006, Christopher O'Riley will release Home to Oblivion: An Elliott Smith Tribute, a collection of the virtuoso pianist's interpretations of tunes by the late singer/songwriter. O'Riley has over 60 of Smith's concerts on his iPod, and based his interpretations of the songs on his personal transcriptions of Smith's recorded output.
