AMC Could Begin Walking Dead "Wrap-Up" Show
AMC is looking for new ways to capitalize on their biggest, hit dramas and keep audiences tuned in beyond their favorite weekly show. In the vein of what Bravo did with their Real Housewives wrap-ups, Vulture reports that AMC planned to shoot a pilot for a Walking Dead talk show featuring Chris Hardwick. In fact, they've even hired the same production company that managed to bring in an average of more than 1.5 million views for the Bravo reality TV "post-game" show. read more
Mystery Team Director To Film Episode of Community, Announces Book Adaptation Project
Dan Eckman, who directed Donald Glover in _Mystery Team_ will pair up with the actor again for an episode of the NBC hit _Community_ this upcoming season. Though this is his first foray into directing a sitcom, Eckman was behing the camera for many of Glover’s comedy troupe’s short videos like, “Emo Song,” “Bro Rape” and “Blowjob Girl.” There’s plenty of time for him to prepare for his first attempt at directing a sitcom; he will direct the thirteenth episode which will likely air sometime in January. read more
Watch Four Promos for the New Season of The Walking Dead
After an incredibly short, but successful first season (only 6 episodes!),_Walking Dead_, will return to AMC this October 16th for its second season. The series is a post-apocalyptic zombie story based on the comic book series of the same name and has already been consistently acclaimed by both fans and critics. Season 2, set at 13 episodes long, will pick up almost immediately from where the show left off and depict the survivors' journey of leaving Atlanta for the countryside. Based upon the proclamation that Season 2 will be "sexier and more violent", AMC has released four mini-promos that are light on plot details, but are enough to get fans excited for the upcoming series. read more
John Howard Davies: 1939-2011
Actor and British television producer John Howard Davies died this past Monday at the age of 72. Davies was originally known for playing the lead role of Oliver in David Lean's 1948 film Oliver Twist. He was 8 years old at the time and the well received performance led to roles in three other films and an appearance on the television series "William Tell" as a teenager. read more
