Aside from his upcoming series with Warwick Davis, the entertainer is also working with former Dexter showrunner Clyde Phillips on a new show called Afterlife. Known for being a fairly outspoken atheist himself, Gervais is again returning to religious territory for this new project. The show follows an atheist who dies and finds himself in heaven—and there aren’t many details beyond that. More information should come as Afterlife begins filming early next year.... read more
Second Friday Night Lights Movie a Possibility?
Going from book to movie to TV series, Friday Night Lights has enjoyed quite a ride. Grantland editor-in-chief Bill Simmons tweeted that FNL mastermind Peter Berg said he “wants to do an FNL movie with Chandler/Britton off the final episode.” However, East Dillon fans shouldn’t get too excited just yet. He also calls the faux-documentary show a “cross between The Office and Extras.” That’s pretty much all we get. Luckily BBC had a little more to say, revealing that Davis, a dwarf who has acted in Harry Potter and Star Wars, will play a “fictional version of himself.”... read more
