Community: "Advanced Documentary Filmmaking" (4.6)
Episode after episode of this, Community's fourth season, I keep coming back to the fact that a show which used to elicit numerous belly laughs with every outing now has trouble making me chuckle once. read more
The Good Wife Review: "Runnin' With The Devil" (Episode 4.15)

1600 Penn Review: "Live From the Lincoln Bedroom" (Episode 1.08)
With each new episode that 1600 Penn trudges through, it seems like it learns the importance of ensemble over forcing one character into the comedic spotlight. It still has an incredibly hard time balancing all six members of the Gilcrest family in one episode, but 1600 Penn has smartly started pairing off cast members together and seeing what works and how different dynamics will play out. read more
Community: "Cooperative Escapism in Familial Relations" (4.5)
As disappointed as I've been with this season of Community, there were still stories to be told about its characters and unresolved threads when Dan Harmon left the show. read more

Bob's Burgers Review: "O.T. the Outside Toilet" (Episode 3.15)
It’s all insane, but kind of sweet too, especially when Bob has an awkward heart-to-heart with Gene, and how the entire family rises up to help Gene in his time of need. Once again, Bob’s Burgers gets some of the best voice acting on TV as well, as Hamm is great as the toilet, constantly misunderstanding Gene’s commands, as when Gene tells him I love you, to which Hamm responds, “you have to throw up?” It’s the perfect balance of weirdness and heart that Bob’s Burgers excels at. read more
Shameless Review: "A Long Way From Home" (Episode 3.07)

The Walking Dead Review (Episode 3.12 "Clear")
If Season 1 was about staying alive and Season 2 was about adjusting to this new world, Season 3 of The Walking Dead has been about keeping sane in the zombie apocalypse. Rick and The Governor have been the primary subjects dealing with post-traumatic stress, but mental and emotional stability has been an issue for Michonne, Glenn, Maggie and others. Tonight served as something of a warning for Rick about the road he’s been headed down. “Clear” begins with a sign reading, “ERIN, WE TRIED FOR STONE MOUNTAIN —J.” But Erin, we soon learn from the bracelet of a walker,... read more

As the famous quote goes, “What we have here is a failure to communicate.” read more
Modern Family Review: "Best Men" (Episode 4.17)
As I settled in to watch this week’s Modern Fam, I found myself not caring too much about what would happen. This season has been too much of a rollercoaster to get excited about the show being on, only to be let down half the time. read more
Nashville Review: "Dear Brother" (Episode 1.14)
Country music is frequently about drinking with buddies and drinking away your problems. So, it’s no wonder Nashville hit on every somber note this week after a week of devastating turns. read more
