The Americans Review: "COMINT" (Episode 1.05)
Since its premiere, one of the most unsettling aspects of The Americans is that both Philip (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth (Keri Russell) prostitute themselves in order to obtain classified information. read more
Southland Review: "Babel" (Episode 5.02)
As the famous quote goes, “What we have here is a failure to communicate.” read more
Modern Family Review: "Best Men" (Episode 4.17)
As I settled in to watch this week’s Modern Fam, I found myself not caring too much about what would happen. This season has been too much of a rollercoaster to get excited about the show being on, only to be let down half the time. read more
Nashville Review: "Dear Brother" (Episode 1.14)
Country music is frequently about drinking with buddies and drinking away your problems. So, it’s no wonder Nashville hit on every somber note this week after a week of devastating turns. read more
The Mindy Project Review: "The One That Got Away" (Episode 1.16)
I’ve been talking for a few weeks now about how The Mindy Project needs to be a romantic comedy and ditch the workplace antics. “The One That Got Away” further proved this point. read more
The Following Review: "The Fall" (Episode 1.06)
A lot was left in the air after last week’s cliffhanger, but luckily we had Ryan Hardy to put this episode on his back. read more

This week’s episode of _How I Met Your Mother_ tackled _Weekend at Bernie’s_ and Marshall’s last bag of Skittles, reminded us that ‘new is always better’ and finally got rid of crazy Jeanette. read more

Parks and Recreation Review: "Leslie and Ben"/"Correspondents' Lunch" (5.14 & 5.15)
In a baffling decision, NBC aired an episode of Parks and Recreation last night that was funny and sweet and had been built up to for seasons and was everything fans hoped for... and then, following that, an excellent yet typical episode right afterwards. I'm sure Michael Schur and the rest of the show's creators weren't thrilled by this choice, but despite these scheduling difficulties both episodes were excellent even though, like anyone, I'm completely partial to the wedding. read more
Community Review: "Conventions of Space and Time" (Episode 4.3)
Season four of Community has been about nothing if not trying to please longtime fans of the show, so it's no surprise that rather than trying to deepen the world by going to a location important to any of the show's characters, "Conventions of Space and Time" is set at an Inspector Spacetime convention. read more
Southland Review: "Heat" (Episode 5.02)
Every so often a TV show comes along that is so brilliant, so moving, so thought-provoking that I actually begin to feel sorry for the people who don’t watch the show. read more

New Girl is continuing to balance all its pieces quite well in this middle of the second season, even despite the huge changes that have occurred. The show right now needs such a perfect combination of elements to make everything work, and so far, New Girl is pulling it off spectacularly. read more
Go On Review: "Go Deep" (Episode 1.17)
It’s been two weeks since _Go On_ aired a new episode, and maybe the show should have skipped another week. read more
