Artist Transforms 10 Superheroes Into 18th-Century Oil Paintings

Want to see a dapper Dark Knight or a sophisticated Spider-Man? French artist Berk Senturk offers the chance with his geek-inspired collection, titled Like a Sir.

Senturk took comic icons from across different publishers and re-imagined them as subjects of 18th-century oil paintings, completely clad in tuxes and bow ties. Some characters include Iron Man, Captain America, Batman, Spider-Man and Rorschach. The paintings use the comic character’s film likeness (e.g. Christian Bale, Robert Downey Jr.). Who knew the Hulk could clean up so well?
