Comic-Con 2012 Day 1 Photos and Recap

Our first time to Comic-Con is an exercise in getting overwhelmed. Overwhelmed by the size and scope of the conference—the booths go on seemingly forever. Overwhelmed by the number (and devotion) of attendees—the lines for panels make Disney World look like a ghost town. And, at The Walking Dead Experience, nearly overwhelmed by zombies.

We tested out the upcoming Lego Lord of the Rings game on the Xbox, visited Artist Alley, where comic-book illustrators were busy sketching for fans, stopped by Rob Zombie’s Dawn of the Con opening night party. Some of the most popular panelists included Tim Burton, Sarah Silverman, Elijah Wood, Michael C. Hall and the cast and crew of Archer, but we mostly enjoyed the people watching, from the famous to the costumed to everybody just happy to be a part of this circus.
