See Four Stills For The Upcoming South Park: The Stick of Truth Videogame
Over a month ago at E3 in Los Angeles, Calif., South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone offered a sneak peak at South Park: The Stick of Truth. During their brief speech, Stone stated: “We got approached a couple years ago to do a South Park game. The only thing that really interested us was if we could make a game where it felt like you were in an episode of South Park. In order to do that, you had to make it look like South Park, which is pretty crappy.”
New stills from the game have recently been released, and it seems that Obsidian has delivered their promise of a compelling (and crappy) South Park game. The stills showcase locations in the game including South Park cemetery, the school, The Kingdom (a shout-out to the famous episode "The Return of The Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers) and Mr. Kim’s City Wok.
South Park is no new customer to video games and has released five games since 1998, including titles on Playstation, Nintendo 64 and most recently through Xbox Live Arcade. This is the franchise’s return to console after more than a decade, but THQ and Obsidian seem determined to make the best and most authentic South Park game possible. Even if it is a bit crappy.
