On Monday, Rufus Wainwright played a sold-out show in the beautiful Les Folies Bergère theater in Paris, and his beautiful voice filled the venue. Charming the audience between songs with better French than most North American acts, Wainwright didn’t have to try nearly as hard to win everyone over but he did and he succeeded. From his eccentric outfit by Jean-Paul Gaultier to the well-honed renditions of his songs, he was a spectacle in all of the best ways.
