On their third LP Smother, pensive synth crooners Wild Beasts brood with haunting introspection and stunning uncertainty, evoking emotion in a heartrending manner similar to the way that fellow Brit Antony Hegarty does so well. This is the kind of record that's best heard alone or away from your daily distractions. If you give Smother the focused listen it deserves, there's a strong chance that this Wild Beasts' record will move you, or at the very least send chills down your spine.
Smother, which will be out in stores on May 10 via Domino Records, can be streamed up until the release date on Paste's website. Click the album artwork to hear the group's latest effort.
