Album Stream: Luke Temple - Don't Act Like You Don't Care

Don’t Act Like You Don’t Care is an album that’s a long time coming. Luke Temple wrote the material while working as a plasterer and simultaneously writing and recording an album for Here We Go Magic. 
The songs were recorded with inspiration from Rudy Van Gelden’s early Blue Note Recordings; Temple recorded the album in just two 4-hour blocks, using a few friends, a 4-track recorder and 3 microphones.


Left on the shelf due to Here We Go Magic’s success, Don’t Act Like You Don’t Care is finally being released, showcasing Temple’s gift for songwriting and emphasizing a clearer sound—a startling, yet pleasing contrast to the tracks that Here We Go Magic fans have grown to be familiar with. Although this long-hidden album isn’t released until August 30, you can stream Don’t Act Like You Don’t Care in its entirety in the player below.
