Rosi Golan’s upcoming album Lead Balloon is the result of the songwriter seeing new places in the world. The Israeli-born songwriter’s inspiration comes from traveling the U.S. and London, and it comes across in her poppy take on Americana and folk.
Golan just signed to New York-based Family Records for Lead Balloon, which is set for a Sept. 27 release. The album was produced by Tony Berg, who has produced Phantom Planet and Amy Mann.
“We’re beyond thrilled to welcome Rosi to the Family,” said Family Records president Wesley Verhoeve. “She has been a friend of the Family for years, a like-minded soul and a tremendously talented song writer with a golden voice. Her new album Lead Balloon is one of those rare records that undulates perfectly between all those thoughts and emotions that every person experiences as part of a relationship, and we can’t wait to share it with our fans and the world at large.”
